Working in HR has it’s own set of unique challenges. If you are considering a career in HR, or you’re in the first few years of your HR career and finding there are some challenges that you’d like some new ideas on, this workshop is for you!

This workshop is for those newer to HR in their first couple of years, or students working to move into an HR role.

Our presenters for this workshop are:

 Jason Ennor, CEO, MyHR

Jason is the co-founder and CEO of MyHR, an innovative HR solution combining cloud software with dedicated, human HR support. Currently responsible for 11,500 employees, MyHR has experienced rapid growth since launching 4 years ago.

Jason is a dedicated HR generalist who believes in using technology to deliver better outcomes for businesses and improving HR delivery. Prior to MyHR Jason spent 15 years in HR roles within large, multinational organisations around the world.

Catherine Son,

People Consultant,

Orion Health

Originally from South Korea, Cath Son practiced law before deciding to move into the HR/People profession.

Cath is a People Consultant for Asia Pacific & Corporate functions at a NZ headquartered healthcare software development company Orion Health.

She is passionate about adding real business

 value and helping people and businesses thrive.

 Amy McMahon, People

 Services Manager, BNZ

After a number of years working in and leading operational HR teams, Amy is passionate about front line HR capability and delivery.  She believes HR pract-itioners need to be savvy in their skill-set and broaden their abilities to keep challenging and building on the value we bring to our work places. Amy strongly feels that process improvement and increasing efficiency are not just for other areas of the business, HR can do these too!  She led an initiative at one of NZ’s largest corporate’s to revitalise the HR team and adopt a tiered service model, completely changing the team’s ways of working with great results.   So much so, she’s attempting to do it all again in her current role!

 Tarryn van Niekerk, HR

 Manager, Harvey Norman

Tarryn is an experienced HR Manager with over

9 years experience in HR in New Zealand.  She has worked at large organisations across a myriad of industries including FMCG, Retail and Construction .  She provides a practical and down to earth approach to HR Management. She has managed organisations through large scale change projects including technology implementations and restructuring.  Her interest in technology and social media has lead to an investigation into how social media can be used to address issues in HRM.  She holds a Masters degree specialising in HR Management as well as degrees in Behavioural Psychology and Industrial Psychology.
